Brett Sherman

Brett Sherman is a Partner at Machete Group, where he leads property acquisition, development management, design team coordination, and community engagement. He began collaborating with the firm in 2021 and officially joined as Partner in 2024.

Prior to Machete Group, Brett directed the real estate strategies group at a top 10 global architecture and engineering firm. He has also overseen acquisitions and pre-development across multiple platforms, with expertise spanning urban infill projects, master-planned communities, and the redevelopment of industrial brownfield sites. His diverse background equips him to navigate complex development processes while aligning financial performance, design excellence, and community impact.

Brett holds a Bachelor of Arts from Skidmore College and an MBA from Fordham University. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and is committed to advancing community engagement and environmental stewardship.
